Moon and Back - Rosebery, Sydney

Moon and Back, a cafe and lifestyle store in Rosebery, is the brainchild of Elvan Fan and Carol Xu, who bring together their passions for excellent coffee and beautifully designed homewares. This is their second venture following the success of their Kyoto store in Japan, which opened in April 2020. At Moon and Back, the focus is on serving exceptional coffee brewed with a seasonal blend from Surry Hills roastery Artificer, offering various options including black, white, cold, or batch brews.
Complementing the coffee are a selection of inventive sweets crafted by Xu, drawing on her Le Cordon Bleu-taught pastry skills. Treats may include matcha-and-yuzu pound cake, original or matcha-and-sake canelé, and a unique Lotus Biscoff “croffle” (croissant-waffle). Additionally, Moon and Back offers matcha and hojicha lattes, house-made sodas, and imported teas from Japan and Taiwan. The cafe also curates a range of lifestyle products, featuring ceramics and artworks by brands like Chef vs Clay, Kinto, and Studio Arhoj, displayed in a minimalist gallery-style space with clean lines and neutral tones.
