Navy Bear

Navy Bear Sydney is a captivating establishment nestled within the Royal Australian Navy Sailing Association (RANSA) in Darling Point, offering an enchanting experience against the backdrop of Sydney Harbour. Part of the Bird & Bear hospitality group, Navy Bear celebrates maritime history and provides a charming escape with a simple yet diverse menu for breakfast and lunch.
Founded by locals Adam and Emma Marshall, Bird & Bear believes in sharing good food, stories, and times. The Navy Bear cafe, located on the water’s edge with views of the Harbour Bridge and yachts, features a fresh interior design by Etic with a palette of mint green and white, creating an unpretentious space within RANSA’s heritage tin building adorned with sailing memorabilia.

The menu at Navy Bear reflects a relaxed vibe with breakfast options like the maple-smoked bacon-and-egg roll and the Santorini Bear with grilled haloumi, avocado, tomato, truffle oil, and chilli flakes on sourdough. Lunch offerings include fish’n’chips, sandwiches, and salad bowls. The venue also hosts a pop-up bar over the summer.

Navy Bear fosters a genuine sense of community within RANSA, where sailing enthusiasts gather to share their love for the open waters. The establishment captures the vibrant energy and camaraderie of the sailing club, making it a unique and inviting space for both locals and visitors to enjoy good food and stunning harbor views.
