Skittle Lane, a renowned Sydney coffee roaster, has expanded to Bondi Beach with a sunny outpost offering freshly roasted coffee and beautiful homewares. Owned by Jodie Foster and Dean Wooding, the Bondi location boasts an in-house roastery, ensuring the freshest coffee beans are served seven days a week. Despite the challenges of opening during lockdown, the Bondi store has thrived, becoming a local favorite and spreading Skittle Lane’s brand in the east.
The beachside store not only serves a rotating selection of single-origin beans for espresso and filter, along with seasonal blends, but also offers Japanese ceramics, In Bed linen, Kinto travel tumblers, and Milly Dent ceramics for sale. It’s also a major stockist of American coffee magazine Drift and features daily offerings of Penny Fours pastries and Butter Boy cookies. The community support in Bondi has exceeded expectations, with locals embracing the Skittle Lane brand wholeheartedly.

Reflecting on the city flagship store, Foster acknowledges the challenges posed by the pandemic but remains optimistic about future plans, including the opening of a third Skittle Lane store in Circular Quay in March 2021. Despite the slow recovery in the city, the success of the Bondi location has bolstered confidence in expanding the brand further.
