The Greens

The Greens in North Sydney is an oasis surrounded by palm trees and harbor views, offering a haven for warm-weather relaxation. Granddad can enjoy a game of lawn bowls while others sip spicy Margaritas in the sun. The venue’s bright and spacious layout accommodates both bowlers and diners, with vintage photographs adding character to the interior and an enormous rustic garden inviting relaxation with its recycled brick and mismatched tables.
Early in the day, the dining room serves brunch classics like big breakfasts and grazing boards for two. As the day progresses, the menu shifts to European-inspired dishes, including green pea arancini, crab and prawn linguine, and grilled proteins. On the drinks side, cocktails are the main attraction, featuring various Margaritas, spritzes, and a selection of local wines and beers. Additionally, there are thoughtfully crafted low- and non-alcoholic options available.

The Greens has transformed from a traditional bowlo into a lush garden bar with stunning Sydney skyline views. Inside, floor-to-ceiling glass doors let sunlight flood into a plant-filled brasserie, furnished with curved booths and communal tables. On sunny days, the rustic garden outside, complete with daybeds and picnic settings, provides a perfect spot for relaxation adjacent to the manicured lawns.

Managed by Matt Le Rade, the bar offers fun and inventive cocktails like Watermelon Keggers and jugs of rose sangria, Pimms cocktails, and Aperol spritzes. The kitchen, set up by Lilly Fasan and her husband Nathan, emphasizes seasonal produce grown in-house, mirroring the lush green surroundings of The Grounds of Alexandria. Besides lawn bowls, The Greens hosts yoga sessions, organic markets, live music, campfire s’mores events, film screenings, and weekend DJ sets, making it a vibrant and versatile destination.
