Bellagio Cafe

Bellagio Cafe, located in Sydney’s east, is a versatile dining spot open seven days a week, offering breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner from Wednesday to Saturday. With a focus on artisan and handcrafted items, the menu combines interesting flavors with the freshest produce. The team at Bellagio smokes, pickles, and bakes almost everything in-house, from meats to butter and bread, complemented by herbs from their front-of-house garden.
The cafe boasts a curated wine list of over 50 options, making it a perfect spot for a boozy brunch. Co-owner Felix enhances the experience by offering museum releases, barrel-aged cocktails, and a range of rare and top-shelf dark spirits and after-dinner drinks. The brunch menu offers a diverse selection, including an excellent avocado smash, fig and sultana on star-anise rye, a southern buttermilk fried chicken burger, and a smoked BBQ beef brisket sandwich. Baked goods from their sister venue, Nelson Road Tuck Shop, add a delightful touch to the menu.

As the day turns to night, Bellagio transforms into a place for sharing or solo enjoyment. The dinner menu introduces French and Spanish influences with dishes like white anchovy and sobrassada fingers, duck liver donuts, puy lentils with truffle and an egg, and a melt-in-your-mouth confit duck leg with rum cherries. The charcuterie plate and cheese board, featuring perfectly cured and dried meats, chicken liver parfait, and house-churned butter, showcase the fusion of flavors. Desserts include a not-so-sweet, super salty, and sour preserved lemon ice cream. With a cozy atmosphere and Mediterranean flair, Café Bellagio seamlessly expands from a friendly local café to a superior neighborhood bistro.
